Don’t Miss RCA’s Presentation of The Lion King Jr.

Student actors will be spreading some Hakuna Matata when they take to the stage for perhaps RCA’s most ambitious production to date.

Thirty-eight cast members and a supporting crew of twenty-four technical personnel and artistic creators are involved in presenting Disney’s The Lion King Junior, an abridged version of the Broadway show.

The show tells the story of Simba, a young lion born a prince, and his evil uncle Scar who now finds himself second in line to the throne. Scar plots with the hyenas to kill King Mufasa and Prince Simba, making himself King. The King is killed, and Simba is led to believe that it is his fault, and so flees the kingdom in shame.

This show will appeal to the whole family with its well-known songs including “Circle of Life and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” by Elton John and Tim Rice.

The Lion King JR is playing at Regent Christian Academy and will run from May 1-11, 2018, in the chapel theatre. Doors open at 6.30pm and tickets cost $12 for adults & $8 for children 16 and under.
